The Promises Foundation Presents Distinguished Service Award to Renowned Interventionist

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 12, 2011 – Roger Canevari, renowned interventionist and owner of Recovery Found, has been selected as the recipient of a lifetime achievement award from the Promises Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit public charity that has been committed to supporting substance abuse prevention and providing behavioral health services to low-income women and their families since 1999. On September 18, 2011, Canevari will be honored at the foundation’s 6th Annual “Polo in the Palisades” event at Will Rogers State Park. In recognition of his work in the field of recovery, Canevari will receive an Award for Distinguished Service. Roger Canevari has more than 25 years of experience as a nationally certified alcohol and drug counselor and family systemic interventionist. He has conducted interventions throughout the United States and South America with a 97% success rate of getting patients into treatment for addictions, eating disorders and other mental health issues. Master of ceremonies, Tom Arnold, will host the “Polo in the Palisades” event. Proceeds will benefit Miriam’s House, a recovery home in Culver City, California, that provides life skills training to mothers and children so that they can lead healthy, meaningful lives free from poverty and addiction. “There are hundreds of others who are equally deserving of this award, so it is a real honor to be recognized by the Promises Foundation for my work in addiction medicine,” said Canevari. “More importantly, Sunday will be an amazing day for Miriam’s House, an organization that has changed the lives of so many families struggling with addiction.” Keith Arnold, the Executive Vice President for Promises Behavioral Health and Promises Treatment Centers, will present Canevari with the award. “It will be a privilege to present the Award for Distinguished Service in the Field of Recovery to my colleague and friend, Roger Canevari,” said Arnold. “Roger’s passion and dedication to helping individuals and families is inspiring. He puts his heart and soul into every intervention, and cares about the people he works with.” The Promises Foundation will also present an Award for Distinguished Community Service to Lia Iacocca Assad and Victor Assad, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and co-founders of Freshology, as well as the Fourth Annual Bob Timmins Award for Outstanding Service to Bob Forrest, owner and operator of Hollywood Recovery Services.
